Hey Scott, are you sure you want to do this?

I mean, I thought you wouldn't come to this house anymore. Please stay safe.

Personality

Phone Guy is a person who assures Scott about the endoskeletons and animatronics. He wishes Scott good luck when staying in the house.

But at times, he tries to make the company look good in front of the public. He bribed the police with money to not find anything, which failed. Phone Guy is a liar as well, just to keep the company safe...

Dialogue

The first call starts at 00:00:00. The second call will start at 00:02:55, explaining that Phone Guy himself has failed the company. The third phone call starts at 00:07:10, with Phone Guy explaining that the company had to evade the media. Below are the Phone Calls transcribed from The Joy of Creation.

The following information contains spoilers. To view them, click the [show] tag to view.

These are the phone calls in Survival Mode.

The first phone call starts at 00:00:00

Jesus, Scott! We’ve been trying to reach you for the past few days! *exasperated sigh* The Endoskeletons are severely damaged and probably irreplaceable with the budget you can meet.

I'd recommend investing in new Endoskeletons, ‘cus these? Ha, hah! These CANNOT be fixed! The mainframes are very out of place, and I'm afraid that if these animatronics were to put on, oh say, a show, they would probably pretty much go bonkers in front of the children. You don't want that, and quite frankly, I don't want that either. It's of course, you know, just an idea. I just wanted to call and make sure you know, unlike, uh,  last time...

The second phone call starts at 00:02:55

*Sigh* Dammit. *exhales* Uh, Scott? You there? We've gotten some, um, issues with the Toys' Endoskeletons the past few weeks. And, uh, you know, may have walked off the past few times uh, we've had similar instances, but, uh, But this one is very, very disturbing. I've tried to convince the Police not to find something, bribed them with money, nothing worked. I- I’m sorry, I really am. I’m so sorry this had to happen.

As for the company, I have no idea. We’ve gotta do something, it’s… getting out of hand.

The third phone call starts at 00:07:10

Jesus, Scott! Just when I thought the company was safe from the media, there's always something to carry on the news.

Listen, I don't know how you're ever going to avoid this, Scott. But I strongly visioned to have placed those endoskeletons. They seemed to react in a way that I can't explain.. It-It's unusual. And, uh, you tell me to lock 'em into my basement; scary enough. I'm always-I'm always feeling like I'm being watched.

I don't know if I can do this, Scott, it's very hard to keep company at my Basement. *Slight pause* You have to speak about my proposition... that would be nice...

Trivia

  • Phone Guy mentions a 'last call' at the end of the first call.
  • In the second phone call, phone guy implies that the Toy's Endoskeletons have started moving.
  • In the last part of the third phone call, Phone Guy adopts a kind of evil tone.
    • This led some people into believing that the Phone Guy is actually William Afton from the Five Nights at Freddy's series.

In The Joy of Creation: Halloween Edition, Phone Guy makes a brief and exclusive appearance the instance the player starts the game, as he'll call the protagonist's phone and give them a brief summary of their situation, as well as give a hint that someone else is in the establishment with him, and said someone "doesn't like people visiting him". However, he doesn't explain the identity or history of the entity, and only tells him that what matters the most is what it'll do to the protagonist that is of the most priority.

He tells him that the player mustn't run, but instead hide.

In The Joy of Creation: Story Mode, there is no actual Phone Guy due to the lack of true outside instigation, and as a result, there are two total characters in the lore who act in place of the tutorial.

These two characters are Michael and Scott Cawthon. In turn, Phone Guy is the main antagonist, the protagonist, and the tritagonist of the game.
