Were you looking for The Ignited's corrupted endoskeleton counterparts, The Fallen?

"WE ACT. WE POSE. WE PLAY. WE STOP. WE STARE. WE SCREAM. WE BRING HIS VISIONS TO LIFE, BECAUSE THAT IS HOW WE LIVE. FEEDING FROM THE JOY OF CREATION, AND BURNING WHAT REMAINS"

-Ignited Golden Freddy enigmatically explaining the purpose and lifeblood of The Ignited in Phase 2 of the Basement memory

The Ignited is an antagonist group consisting of the primary and signature enemies of The Joy of Creation franchise. They are the main antagonists of The Joy of Creation, and The Joy of Creation: Reborn as well as the overarching secondary antagonists of The Joy of Creation: Story Mode. They are also the main antagonists of the Bedroom, Living Room, and Office memories, before assimilating into Creation for the fifth and final memory, Attic, and becoming the only titular antagonist of the franchise, due to becoming unstable from Scott Cawthon's actions in the Office memory.

Appearance

Their appearances are mainly like the withered, but very burnt and their suits are decaying, them too, and some of their rusted endoskeletons can be seen. The Ignited are based off the four mascots of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, including Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken and Foxy the Pirate Fox.

Background

The Joy of Creation & The Joy of Creation: Reborn

The Joy of Creation: Story Mode

In The Joy of Creation: Story Mode, The Ignited are portrayed as a powerful supernatural source who play with the landscape however they want to. They can take entire locations to different dimensions and stop time from functioning as expected, as demonstrated in the Office and Basement memories. As well as being able to take entire rooms and force them out of one universe into another so only they are allowed to attack and no one else can help save their target from their confrontation. This is blatantly demonstrated in the second Office cutscene featuring Scott attempting to open Nick's bedroom only to find it having been replaced by a deep, dark structurally unstable void. Essentially, any location they visit is taken somewhere separate for their own murderous convenience, The Ignited and their ally being demons and such.

Also, as more secretly demonstrated by the fact that The Joy of Creation: Story Mode is set on the same night, as well as the more obvious demonstrations that the player is obligated to take notice of such as post-3 AM Ignited Foxy in the Office memory and Endo B "Angel" and Endo C "Mouth" in Phase 5 of the Basement memory, the spirits manifesting from the forest as Five Nights at Freddy's characters can also duplicate themselves at their will as well as place those duplicates into the transported locations.

They first originate as spirits lacking form from a nearby forest in Texas, Houston, United States and manifest themselves with the concepts made using other people's visions. In the case of infiltrating the Cawthon residence conveniently placed by their home forest in The Joy of Creation: Story Mode, they attached themselves to the concepts of Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate Fox.

It is implied by Nick Cawthon's narration set after the Office memory that they not only extract the essence of creativity from people and general pop culture, but they also remove its existence in the timeline along with that for those on the outside who consume it, as Nick specifies that even Scott Cawthon himself was forgotten by everyone after their attack, and that no one remembers him nor his game franchise.

Being able to extract the essence of creativity all at once, The Ignited can forcibly change the surrounding environment into what most represents the characters they're playing as, since the doppelgängers originating from the forest are also capable of becoming characters not only physically, but also functionally.

Though they are powerful and capable of a plethora of supernatural actions, the spirits still have their limits. For example, they're weakened by bright lights outside of their realm, meaning they traditionally can only manifest at nighttime. Additionally, they also bring the functions of the target of their manifestations with them, meaning that if they play as someone traditionally known to be watched through an external source like a camera, they will end up being seen. Finally, they are only able to live eternally once the creator of their character is killed. Otherwise, their leader getting flashed twelve times total causes every spirit's presence to be erased as their form is completely lost.

The Ignited and The Fallen may be the same species of spirit and may use the same manifestation method, but they are different groups entirely. In truth, The Ignited are the ones to guide Michael through The Fallen in the Basement memory as they're spirits who failed to manifest and attack anyone in their way, regardless of if they're of the same spirit type.

It is unknown what happens to their victim and themselves if they succeed in capturing and killing the victim in question, but they likely return to the forest of which they originated from while casually leaving the remains, of which those remains are out of their spiritual realm, out in the open for other humans to eyewitness, as their state of being a spirit and what causes them to manifest physically is enough to obscure their case and hide themselves as the cause if people were to find the body in question.

Since they along with The Fallen are creatures who primarily use virtual, electronic productions, definition vague, to make themselves live for eternity, they are more overpowered than most other spirit types, as well as having unexpected states. When making contact with a security camera system, they seemingly function exactly how they are presented on the camera itself. As example, all of Creation's phases can be reset to a previous room as though his movements are controlled not by his own will, but the camera monitor's ability to track supernatural movement. Additionally, when communicating verbally and making themselves clear, they use monitors or white noise-centric hallucinations, said communication only being possible if they are inside their own origin paranormal world.

Trivia

  • The base models for The Ignited were initially created by EverythingAnimations, and these can be found on DeviantArt.
  • The Ignited's luminous eyes are used as a warning to the main character that one of them is coming.
  • Unlike the last two levels in The Joy of Creation: Story Mode (Basement, Attic), set before and after The Ignited attack the family respectively, the first three levels (Bedroom, Living Room, Office) featuring their attack happen simultaneously in separate pocket dimensions.
    • This is evidenced in all three of them using 0 to 6 time counters, unlike Basement and Attic that are completely encased in paranormal worlds, and, as a result, have any concept of time removed.
  • All animatronics heavily resemble their FNaF 2 Withered designs, but much more decayed and charred.
    • Ironically, this is exactly the process that The Withered experienced to become The Ignited, as Nikson initially created his trademark enemies by removing and burning certain parts of EverythingAnimations' depictions of The Withered.
  • Nikson has confirmed that The Ignited, The Fallen, and Michael are "demons manifesting themselves in the real world as Scott's creations".
